Approaching ___ as a sculptural object I’m trying to investigate, I’m confronted again and again by the limits of my reach. If I can touch it, I can have a sense of it, yet sometimes all I can do is I cannot grasp its form, pulsating [or rather ___], my fingers touch the air. Bodies of people, animals, buildings, feelings, experiences, the pigeon I rescued from the lake. The weather, my mood... If I crouch down and tuck my fingers under it, if I stand up to measure its upper edge. If I stretch my arms above my head, if I lie horizontally and look at it that way…
